A HIGH ACADEMIC STANDARD
We believe in the process of life long learning as an exciting and enjoyable journey. All children experience periods of intense fascination with particular concepts and skills. We acknowledge these critical learning periods and their impact on the development of our students.
Academy Director, Marina Bromfield, has been providing students with a rich and diverse learning environment for more than 30 years. Her experience and unparalleled teaching methods, have fostered and continue to impact the intellectual, emotional, and social development of young minds.
Our aim is to stimulate our students natural curiosity, interest and joy of learning. We enable children to become creative thinkers, lifetime learners, team players, and ultimately happy, confident and competent individuals.
Our individualized program allows for each child's individual style of learning. Each child begins from the concrete to the abstract, the familiar to the unfamiliar and from the basic to the advanced. Our students are encouraged to work at their own pace.
MONTESSORI LEARNING

The Montessori environment is both well planned and attractively designed, which the child can examine and control. The Montessori curriculum includes four basic areas- practical life, sensorial, language and math, that feature creative writing, science, cultural studies, geography, art and music within the classroom.
The focus of Dr. Montessori’s method is the individuality of each child with the goal of the child maintaining his or her natural joy of learning. Her approach was characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child's natural psychological, physical, and social development.
"The essence of independence is to be able to do something for one’s self.
Adults work to finish a task, but the child works in order to grow, and is working to create the adult, the person that is to be. Such experience is not just play... it is work he must do in order to grow up." - Dr. Maria Montessori

TODDLER PORGAM
For Children 24-30 Months
This program is designed as a gentle transition from home to school. It encourages cooperative learning, foster a sense of community among the children and provides the toddlers increasing independence. Care for self and for the environment are stressed during lessons on practical life and daily living. This age group is particularly sensitive to language development, sensorial stimuli and movement, so their environment is prepared to maximize language and gross motor experience. They develop physical coordination, enjoy music and rhythm, exploration, and learn in a “big” way, using their whole bodies.

Resse Madison has had a wonderful learning and social experience while attending VPK this year at Lake County Prep. The small classes, one-on-one experience, and Montessori based curriculum, have all helped Reese to realize her potential.

I wanted to thank everyone for making Dakota Jewell's VPK experience a joyful one!! She learned SO much in a short time and I am very excited to have my other daughter, Tayler, start there in August!! Can't wait to see another young mind bloom!!

Before my daughter started going to this academy, she was shy, withdrawn, and slow with learning. Most children could count to 10 and say their ABC's. Miah could not. Now, she is more talkative, but not rude. She has attained manners from the school that no other school would teach. She came home and taught me how they did things in her school. This allowed me to implement these methods and made home life easier.

My four year old son goes to VPK here. He loves it and is learning more that the average VPK stands to teach. He is learning to read and write. They teach things for everyday life as well not just Academics. He has an extended vocabulary and is learning to be polite and respectful. He is learning to play in a clean way. He no longer takes out every toy he owns but instead plays with related toys and then its them back after he is done. He is also learning to be honest and take responsibility for his actions. He is learning to clean up after himself and to help others around him.
They use a Montessori philosophy and a British curriculum. It is an amazing place for children to learn and the staff is helpful, kind and very understanding.
